Air base commander (Danlanud) Tabing, Padang, West Sumatra, GNP Lieutenant Colonel Awang Kurniawan stating the cause of the crash when participants MinangAerosport acrobatics in the air is unknown.
"The plane crashed when aerobatics until now unknown cause. The Air Force and policeare conducting an investigation," said Danlanud Tabing, Lieutenant Colonel AwangKurniawan GNP in Padang on Friday (24/06/2011).
According to Awang, it will coordinate with the police to find the cause of the crash whenacrobatics in the air in the Minang Aerosport Show (MAS).
"Flakes plane that crashed had been evacuated staff, currently located in PadangTabing Air Field," he said.
He added that the crash type "Christien Eagle" with the number N 21 H no cause casualties of society. "Fortunately at the time of the crash participants MAS, the residents are not crossing the street," he said.
"The body of the pilot was still in the morgue RSUP.M.Jamil Padang, to wait for the process of repatriation to the country of Malaysia," he said.
Party officials on Thursday (06/23/2011) night, has been coordinating with the ConsulateGeneral (Consul General) of Malaysia in Medan for the repatriation of mortal remains ofthe pilot. But do not currently get the information from the Malaysian consulate in Medan,he said.
He added that it is prepared to support the repatriation process of the pilot's body to the country of Malaysia. All fees due to the incident will be borne entirely from the Air Force, and includes the repatriation of the bodies up to Malaysia, "he said.
"Repatriation of the remains, will use the aircraft type owned CN 35 Air Force, the AirSquadron II, Prime Halim Air Force Base Khusuma," said Awang Kurniawan.
